A lease does not end with the death of an owner. The executor of the owner`s estate (where the owner has left a will) takes care of the owner`s interests until the property is transferred to the successor, is sold. In particular, your landlord must submit a written lease if you are a tenant of a dwelling in the public sector or if you are an insured or briefly insured tenant of a private lessor. The terms of a lease (or license agreement) can be negotiated between the lessor and the potential tenant, but in practice, the tenant may not have much leeway to negotiate favorable terms. You don`t have a license or rental agreement just because the landlord says you have it. It depends on your residency situation. Oral agreements can be more difficult to implement in the event of a dispute. Different types of rental give you very different rights: agreements cannot deprive tenants or licensees of the rights granted by Parliament`s legislation, even if the wording of an agreement says otherwise.
