Bluetooth Membership Agreement
Read the following agreements before applying for membership SIG membership is free and members have the right to use published wireless Bluetooth specifications and Bluetooth marks. Adopting members do not have access to unpublished specifications at an early stage and cannot participate in working groups or committees to influence the development of the technology. Universities or other educational institutions are not accepted to become members. The Bluetooth SIG maintains a process for members to prove and declare that the products they build, burn, or otherwise represent as their own meet the requirements of Bluetooth licensing agreements® that companies sign when they become members of the SIG. The two licensing agreements are as follows: Bluetooth technology offers the ability to exchange information between wireless devices such as PDAs, laptops, computers, printers, and digital cameras via a secure, inexpensive, and globally available short-range frequency band. . . .
